Diggerland

So we decided to take a trip to Diggerland in Berlin,NJ.  Its a construction themed amusement parks for toddlers up through middle schoolers.  Outside of Disney World, it was the best amusement park I have ever been to as a parent.  Short lines, small crowds, reasonable price, and we all got to drive construction vehicles around.  Seriously, how does that not beat any other park except Disney World.

Father's Day - 2015

Father's Day - 2015

We started the day with a trip to the American Helicopter Museum in West Chester.

American Helicopter Museum

The three of us were able to go on our first helicopter ride.  It was a 5 minute loop, we probably went up about a half a mile in the air (I am guessing).

Landing

Wow, was that awesome.  Chris sat in the back with me.  Nathan sat up front with the pilot.  The boys had a blast.  We had the headsets on and all.  I will take them back for another one when they are teenagers, but what a cool experience.

After that, we went to Chuck E Cheese in Chesterbrook.  First time I had ever been to this location.  It was pretty empty, so we had a lot of fun.

Finally, we went to meet Kiki Benjamin.  Unfortunately, the boys were not allowed back to meet Kiki, but Butch Benjamin hung out with them for a little bit while I got to meet Kiki.  We are so happy for Kevin, Lisa, and Jacob.  Butch and Maureen finally have their granddaughter.

Bouncing Buns Trail Run

Bouncing Buns Trail Run
Palmerton, PA

Tough course, lots of hills, but another awesome time at Suny Rest Resort in Palmerton.  Jared and I went up, ran the race, then hung out for a few hours.  A good time as always.

Oddyssey Half Marathon

Oddyssey Half Marathon
Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, PA

First Half Marathon that Jared and I ran together. My buddy Barry was there again, juggling deflated footballs.

Jared and I were the last ones to cross the starting line.

We ran together for about 3 miles, and then Jared took off.  It was a really nice course with lots of shade, but man was it hot.  Jared was waiting for me with a beer at the finish.  This was a really fun race that I would recommend to anybody.
