2016 NBA Draft Lottery


This is the first time the boys watched the NBA draft lottery.  After 3 straight seasons of finishing in last place, the Sixers finally get the #1 pick in the draft, and they select Ben Simmons.

"Trust the Process"  That was the tagline from Sam Hinkie.  He was the general manager who had a vision of tanking to get high draft picks.  After 3 seasons, the Sixers have accumulated a whole lot of young talent and draft picks.  Hinkie resigned a few months before the draft.  It will be interesting to see a few years from now if Sam's moves pay off.

So tonight, a new era could be starting with the selection of Carson Wentz at the #2 overall pick by the Philadelphia Eagles in this year's NFL Draft.

I've always been afraid to buy the boys any jerseys of Philadelphia players, just because over the past few years, it doesn't seem like any of them are going to stick around.  That might change now.  We'll see.
