The Great Race (W.C. Area Senior Center) - 5k

My second time doing this race, but first time with the boys.  Met up with the Halls, who were walking the race with their daughter, Lily.

Gorgeous day for a run.  The only problem is, I have been running a whole lot on Struble Trail in Downingtown.  The one thing Struble has is SHADE!!!  There wasn't a whole lot of shade on this run.  That was ok though, it was still a lot of fun.  I did the race in 32 minutes.  Not my best, but it wasn't the flattest course to run on.  No huge hills, but lots of steady inclines and declines.  All in all, another great race (plus, it was just $15, and it is literally less than 2 miles away from my house).

One of my resolutions was to do 10 races with the boys this year.  This was #5, so I am half way there.  Another one of my resolutions was to run 1000 miles this year, and I am about 20 miles shy of 500 (so almost 1/2 way there too).  I am ahead of schedule for the year, so life is good.

The remainder of the day includes a birthday party at Bounce U, and the MayFest at the Chester County Hospital.  A great day to spend with the boys!
