Christmas

A Merry Christmas to all....

We had our basement ruined by Hurricane Irene back in early September.  We finally had it finished about 2 weeks ago, but we did not let the boys down there until Christmas day.  As far a they knew, it was still under construction.  Mom and I set up the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve, and then I built the train set around the tree.

They were very surprised on Christmas morning!

Nathan at one point said "Daddy, I will open my presents later.  Right now, I just want to play with the trains."  That made me feel like a million dollars.

Nathan has so many presents....that he is sitting on presents to open other presents.

And Christmas Night, we got a visit from Kevin and his new bride Lisa.

Holiday Trip to Hershey

The second annual Bugey Christmas trip to Hershey, PA.  As Jim Nantz would say "A tradition like no other."

I wasn't sure if mom would want to do this without dad, but she was all in.  Jen Graham came with us, which was fantastic.  It was nice to have an extra adult who could go on rides with the boys (so mom didn't have to)

We arrived on Friday night, and went through the "Sweet Lights" at Hershey.  This is behind the mansion.  It is a drive thru that takes about 20 minutes or so.

Started off Saturday morning with a trip to Chocolate World.

And then finally over to park around noon

we stayed until around 4pm, then went back to the hotel for dinner and naps.  This way, the boys could go back at night and see Hershey Park all lit up.

This was just a giant plow at the car museum next to where we stayed.  It was pretty cool looking.

Finally, just a quick stop again at Chocolate World on Sunday morning, before heading home.

Another fantastic trip.  Can't wait to do it again next year!!!
