This was a unique race. An INDOOR marathon. Being that I am trying to complete a marathon in all 50 states, I thought it would be fun to do one that is different. It also worked out well, since my buddy Tommy lives literally 7 miles from the race. I took the boys down the Saturday before and the four of us went out in DC. Tommy then watched the boys while I ran
I was getting ready to leave to go to the race. As you can see, my boys are pretty psyched.
The race is held at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlilngton, VA. They have two races going on. A marathon and a 50k.
And of course, my nemesis was there. I so can't wait to kick his ass today.
Some Marathon Maniacs. I am not one yet, but I plan on becoming one.

Last year, he set the World Record at the race for an indoor marathon. This year, he is looking to do it again for a 50k.
Well, I didn't quite make it around 211 laps. Around lap 120 my knee really started to hurt. I made it to 130 and called it a day. I still had a great time though. I got to see an Indoor 50k World Record. I got to square off against The Juggler again.
So anyway, here are some pictures from yesterday's visit to DC
Smithsonian Air & Space
and of course, post dinner fire works
All in all, a fantastic weekend. I can't wait to go back next year.
